Solutions

Next Generation Energy® partners with specifiers, engineers, contractors, and end-users to deliver performance based energy systems to meet a variety of needs. It is not unusual for Next Generation Energy® to be called upon to expand the boundaries of conventional thinking and deliver in areas where others have yet to venture. Our industry knowledge and experience allows us to integrate renewable energy systems as integral components to reduce costs and maximize investments in new energy solutions such as geothermal, hydro, co-generation, and more.

Solar Thermal

Solar thermal solutions are the low hanging fruit in the industry and can be integrated into new and existing mechanical systems with a high return on investment. Next Generation Energy® specializes in the design and engineering of both solar thermal flat plate and evacuated tube systems. Each system type offers unique performance characteristics that can be engineered for domestic hot water, radiant heating, process heating and cooling, snow melt, and pool applications.

Next Generation Energy® NGE-TU Series thermal systems are the most efficient means of heating hot water on the market today. These highly efficient thermal systems can be ballast mounted on flat roof surfaces which reduces installation costs. This installation method, along with unmatched performance characteristics, makes these systems an extremely practical and affordable choice for commercial high volume production. For residential and small commercial applications, our pre-engineered SunBandit Solar Thermal Kits include all the components necessary for a simple and easy installation.

Photovoltaic (PV)
Next Generation Energy® designs and engineers customized photovoltaic solutions that include flush mount, awing mount, ballast mount, ground mount, and building integrated systems. Many of these systems are engineered to be pre-fabricated and shipped to site for safer, more efficient installations. As with all Next Generation Energy® solutions, photovoltaic systems can be customized to meet American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and Buy American Act requirements.

Hybrid
Next Generation Energy® hybrid energy solutions are designed to achieve system optimization while making best use of renewable energy products and available fossil fuel resources. While many of these solutions are grid-tied, Next Generation Energy® engineers hybrid solutions for off-grid applications that provide 100% energy independence. Depending on energy demand, these systems can be engineered to include photovoltaic, solar thermal, hot air panels, wind, battery back-up, and other power management components for a complete turn-key solution.
Next Generation Energy® hybrid solutions include:
  • hybrid light pole and surveillance systems
  • energy pods and off-grid energy systems for remote locations
  • Sungalow net-zero home systems
  • hydro, geothermal, and co-generation systems

Network Design
Knowing the Difference Makes the Difference

The natcon7 Network Design services for PV power plants include designing the architecture for the entire communication network of a PV power plant. With increasing demands on yield, reliability and performance of large-scale PV power plants, many system owners are considering the inclusion of SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) systems to support the PV production hardware. A critical aspect of the installation of a SCADA system is the Network Design that has to occur early in the planning stage of a large PV system.
